Who Cares? course

Who Cares? is an online seven week introductory course in pastoral skills for anyone wanting to learn more about how to care for others.  It is  open to all, while also being the access course for Pastoral Assistant Training. The pandemic has shown us the importance of  supporting one another.  This course will give an insight into what pastoral care is all about and what good practice looks like.    The sessions will be led by a range of speakers and include developing your listening skills, the nature of pastoral care, visiting, using the Bible in pastoral care, prayer and pastoral care, boundaries and confidentiality and loss and bereavement.

The cost of the complete course is £30 and it will be run on Tuesdays between 7pm and 9pm on these dates:

• 16th November
• 23rd November
• 30th November

I really enjoyed the Who Cares? Course on Zoom. It gave me some great insights into the nature of pastoral care and what that might look like in different contexts, and the interactions with other participants really enriched the experience for me, too. I finished the course with more confidence in my pastoral skills and a deeper understanding of how God calls us to the ministry of caring for one another.
